Paula Elizabeth Romo Monteagudo is passionate about working with and for the Earth, dedicated to co-creating environments and communities that promote ecological restoration and holistic well-being.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development for Sustainability from the Faculty of Philosophy at the Autonomous University of Querétaro (UAQ), specializing in Permaculture and Deep Ecology. She has certifications in Permaculture Design (PDC), Permaculture Implementation and Design (PIDC), Advanced Permaculture Design Course, and Permaculture Teacher Training (PTT), awarded by Permaculture Project, New School Permaculture, and Holmgren Design. She has also studied design and various techniques for implementing holistic ecological projects in different institutions. She is a facilitator of The Work That Reconnects, a methodology inspired by Deep Ecology.

She is the founder of Ko’tsi – Permaculture and Deep Ecology and co-founder of Oika Mía – Cultivating Active Hope. Through these initiatives, she fosters ecological, personal, and collective transformation processes through educational programs, individual and group support, and the design and implementation of ecological regeneration projects and strategies.

She collaborates with national and international organizations dedicated to education, restoration, and ecological regeneration. She currently serves as coordinator, facilitator, and certifier for the Permaculture Diploma Program at the University of the Environment (UMA).

Her experience as a permaculture designer, consultant, workshop leader, and facilitator has led her to share her work in countries such as Peru, Costa Rica, Chile, Nepal, and the United States—including New York and Alaska—as well as various states in Mexico.

Her path has been guided by an artistic vision and a deep conviction that life flourishes when people reconnect with the Earth, with themselves, and with each other. From this perspective, she supports processes to co-create a new culture of care.
